We needed to submit passports for prior approval to enter the zone

Inspection shed to check to see if we're smuggling out diamonds

Entering the new Sperrgebiet National Park or the former diamond fields. Most of the mining operations are now shut down.

Everything was abandoned when the large scale diamond operations shut down. Due to potential smuggling, everything was left in place.
